SOLDASTOP BLANKET

It is a unique thermal protection fabric that has been specially developed for the metalworking and manufacturing industries.

Description

  • It withstands flame penetration at temperatures of 1,650°C for approximately 35 seconds. This represents an important safety measure for torch welding operations.
  • It encloses and contains hazardous molten metal residue generated during welding and oxy-fuel cutting processes. Tests have shown that even large molten iron droplets weighing up to 35 grams can be successfully contained and cooled on the fabric surface without penetration.
  • It has up to 10 times the abrasion resistance of a silica fabric of similar weight and density.
  • It has been specially treated to create a soft, flexible fabric that is easy to handle during use.
  • It provides the highest levels of performance without the risk of generating unpleasant fumes, allowing for efficient and safe indoor use.
  • Weight: 1,000 gr/m².
  • Thickness: 1.4 mm.

Applications

It is a unique thermal protection fabric that has been specially developed for the metalworking and manufacturing industries.

It is resistant to sparks, welding spatter, molten metal and all types of thermal shock up to 1,650º C.

Soldastop blankets is an integral part of every fiber in the fabric to meet the most stringent performance requirements. This level of performance, combined with its durability and ease of use, ensures that the fabric is suitable for a wide range of applications, including welding blankets, oxy-fuel cutting blankets, equipment and machinery protection, pipe and weld wrapping, aprons, personal protective equipment, and more.
