Description
The curtain wall is a device that connects to the end of a hose (also a fixed pipe) that, when placed on the ground, without fasteners and working at any pressure (up to 18 bar), does not move and forms a fan-shaped water curtain that protects from fire radiation and also serves as a shield for other water projections along different lines. Its multiple uses are the best reference to its usefulness: forming corridors between fires, trenches for water launches, safety screens for welding in dangerous atmospheres, cooling of areas and structures, protection of vehicles in fires, etc.
The material used for its construction is aluminum, so heat radiation does not deform it. It is machined both internally and externally to allow water to flow more smoothly through the device, avoiding pressure loss due to friction.
Device with a truncated cone shape and a semicircular screen. All devices come with a handle for easy transport and handling.
It should be connected to a hose and placed on preferably flat ground, feeding on water. The water outlet forms a crescent shape when the jet hits the screen of the device itself.
This appliance is maintenance-free. If it has been used with very dirty water or salt water, it is recommended to flush it to prevent clogging or penetrating corrosion.
