Description
Constructed of pine wood, they consist of five beams, four of which are wedge-shaped and the central one is not tapered. They are held in place by a canvas skirt that gives shape and support to the whole.
The wooden parts have a coat of red paint, except for the ends and the canvas skirt, which are white.
For hoses Ø 25, 45 and 70 mm. DIN 14820.
All large hose lines have the disadvantage of leaving the area they cross impassable. However, at many times during firefighting operations, it is necessary to use vehicles, such as forklifts, tankers, etc., to allow for other tasks besides transferring water. To avoid this problem, these bridges have been designed to allow vehicles to pass over their surface, preventing hoses from being strangled or damaged by the passage of water. They also facilitate vehicle transit due to the "roller" effect.
Hose ramps must be installed in pairs on the lines, spaced at a distance corresponding to the vehicle's wheel axle width. Their dimensions allow the passage of dual wheels.
